WHAT ACFA WISHED TO ACHIEVE

Co-operatives  in  other  countries  like  Kenya  and  Canada  contribute  significantly  to  their  national economies.  The  co-operative  sector  in  Nigeria too, has  the  potential  to  grow  and  deliver  a  significant contribution to the economy, If proper policy is made to this regard. For instance; the All Co-operative Farmers Association, Edo State. Has resolved to:

·         Be in the forefront for the promotion of ideas projected to lead all farmers and small scale entrepreneurs in the state to success.

·         To operate in all the Local Government Areas of the State, within the Nigeria boundary, the Africa continent and the world at large; In order to promote the state, national, and international Co-operation and understanding, among the co-operative enthusiasts.

·         Improve agricultural  productivity  through  better  use  of  inputs  and  farm  management,  as it  will make  a  remarkable  difference  to  the  lives  of  farmers  and  reduce  food  insecurity.

·         To provide more sources of employment for rural dwellers.

·         Help various governments to provide job opportunities, as this will reduce poverty in the country. It will also assist in reducing inflation as the end products will be dispense out by the farmer when food and other raw materials will be accessed  easily by farmers and other users.

·         Give its members the opportunity to be independent.  Through co-operative loans support to its members, in order to  revive  dying  businesses,  as  it  also  gives  members  the  opportunity  to  make purchases  of  any  kind, such as  business  equipment  or food  items,  at  a lower  price  when  resources are pooled together to make bulk purchases.
